Fastest early recovery
LASIK and FemtoLASIK usually provide faster functional visual recovery than TransPRK because the surface epithelium remains largely intact. Individual results still vary.
There is no single best laser procedure for everyone. The right technique depends on prescription, corneal shape and thickness, ocular surface, lifestyle and your tolerance for recovery time.

LASIK and FemtoLASIK usually provide faster functional visual recovery than TransPRK because the surface epithelium remains largely intact. Individual results still vary.
A surface procedure may preserve more stromal tissue, but ‘thin’ does not automatically mean suitable for TransPRK. Tomography, intended correction and residual tissue calculations must remain reassuring.
A no-flap procedure may be attractive for contact sports or field occupations. The choice still needs to balance recovery, ocular surface, corneal data and visual requirements.
Safety depends heavily on appropriate patient selection, accurate measurements, treatment planning, surgical technique and follow-up—not simply the marketing name of the operation.
A personal assessment can narrow the options and explain the trade-offs that matter for your eyes.
