The EGP 1,500 refractive assessment

This is a complete surgeon-led assessment, not a single scan. It includes refraction, corneal imaging and thickness, ocular-surface assessment, wavefront testing when relevant, and consultation with Dr Mohamed Anis. The full EGP 1,500 is deducted if you proceed with refractive surgery.

Current laser vision-correction fees

Laser prices are quoted for both eyes: conventional LASIK starts at EGP 13,000; TransPRK is EGP 16,000–20,000; and FemtoLASIK is EGP 22,000–28,000. When wavefront-guided planning is clinically indicated, it adds EGP 3,000–4,000 to the selected treatment.

Cataract and refractive-lens fees

Cataract and lens-surgery prices are per eye because the implanted lens and surgical plan are selected individually. Monofocal cataract surgery is EGP 14,000–20,000; Eyhance is EGP 22,000; and EDOF or trifocal options are EGP 30,000–60,000 depending on the lens brand. Refractive lens exchange is EGP 45,000–70,000 per eye depending on the implanted lens.

What the surgical fee includes

Your written quotation identifies whether the fee is for one eye or both, the procedure and platform, surgeon care, standard consumables and the planned postoperative follow-up. Medication or any additional treatment outside the stated package is explained before you decide.

Why a range can be more honest than one number

Prescription, procedure, laser consumables, diagnostic findings, lens model, hospital requirements and follow-up needs can change the total. A range shows the likely fee before assessment; your written quotation confirms the exact amount. A higher price does not automatically mean a better result—appropriate selection and planning remain more important.
