The VICTUS femtosecond laser creates a thin, precise flap. Dr Mohamed Anis lifts it, the TENEO 317 M2 excimer laser delivers the planned correction, and the flap is repositioned. Both eyes are commonly treated during the same visit when clinically appropriate.
Suitability depends on more than age or spectacle power. Stable refraction, healthy corneal shape and thickness, an acceptable ocular surface and realistic expectations all matter.
Many patients notice useful vision within the first day, although fluctuation, dryness, glare or halos can occur during healing. Driving, work, exercise and screen use should resume according to the individual examination and follow-up plan.
No refractive procedure is risk-free. Temporary dryness, visual fluctuation, glare or halos are possible. Less common complications include inflammation, infection, flap problems, under- or over-correction and corneal ectasia. Careful screening reduces risk but cannot eliminate it.
